Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver goods to various locations.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Report any vehicle faults or accidents promptly to management.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, ideally with delivery driver experience.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicles to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, such as a driver licence or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with commercial driving vehicles and understanding of safety protocols.
