Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Self Employed Courier to join our logistics team. This role involves delivering packages efficiently and professionally across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the physical capacity to handle various delivery tasks. As a self-employed individual, you will operate independently, managing your schedule while ensuring timely deliveries.

Duties

• Collect parcels from central depots or warehouses and organise delivery routes
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle or van to deliver goods to customers and businesses
• Ensure all deliveries are completed within specified timeframes
• Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon receipt
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times or issues
• Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
• Manage your own schedule to optimise efficiency and productivity

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with strong knowledge of local routes
• Valid driver’s licence suitable for commercial driving purposes (e.g., LGV or equivalent)
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of parcels when required
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
• Reliable vehicle suitable for commercial deliveries, insured and roadworthy
• Prior experience in heavy lifting or physically demanding roles is desirable

Pay: £400.00-£500.00 per day
