We are lookign for a number of reliable and professional Delivery Van Drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s licence, provide a current DBS check, pass regulare drug and alcohol testing and have experience in commercial driving environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations within the scheduled timeframe
• Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
• Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies throughout all driving activities

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
• Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and responsibly
• Physical fitness to manage heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking during deliveries
