Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver / Yard Manager to join our team. This role involves safely delivering materials to various site locals in and around London and keeping our yard clean and organised at all times. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a clean driving record and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities

• Safely operate our company van, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Deliver materials to our site teams promptly and professionally
• Manage yard operations, including organising stock, loading and unloading deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organised yard
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks to move goods within the yard or during deliveries
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with the site teams regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
• Maintain and clean equipment (training provided)
• Carry out PAT testing on electrical items (training provided)

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safe driving practices in the UK
• Previous warehouse or yard management experience is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Excellent organisational skills to coordinate deliveries and manage yard operations effectively
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and management
• Reliable, punctual, with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
