We are seeking a reliable and experienced Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and goods, often requiring specialised driving skills such as flatbed operation. The role involves on call work and some weekend work on a Rota System

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbeds and recovery lorries, to transport vehicles and goods to designated locations
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
• Load and unload items efficiently, adhering to safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and recovery procedures
• Assist with the recovery of vehicles using specialised equipment when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, recoveries, and vehicle inspections
• Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during transit operations

Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record CLASS 2 MINIMUM
• Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or warehouse operations
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience operating flatbed trucks or recovery vehicles is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• Previous delivery driver experience is preferred but not essential if the candidate demonstrates relevant skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks efficiently, and adhere to schedules
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and vehicle recovery operations
